The (IEA) Illinois Education Association (https://ieanea.org/)is an association of more than 135,000 members. The association is composed of Illinois elementary and secondary teachers, higher education faculty and staff, educational support professionals, retired educators and college students preparing to become teachers.
The IEA was founded in 1853 to serve the interest of public education in Illinois. The IEA became an affiliate of the (NEA) National Education Association i(https://www.nea.org/)n 1857, an organization currently totaling 3.2 million teachers and school employees working to make our good public schools even better for all students.

Be sure to fill out the New Member Enrollment form.(https://join.ieanea.org/enroll/?classification=Education%20Support%20Professional) Alternatively, you can print the Enrollment form (undefined)and submit it to the Association Secretary for processing.

Eligible
• All 12 month and 10 month Support staff employees in non-faculty positions.
• Part-time employees in support staff positions
Non-eligible
• Business Office staff
• All supervisory/managerial (N-Staff)
• Human Resource Office staff
• P.R.E.P. Employees
• P.A.C. Swim Employees
• The S.E.L. Coordinator
• Confidential employees
• Short-term employees as defined by Section 2 of the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Act.

Full time employees pay $23/paycheck and part time employees pay a prorated amount.
There are over 100 staff members who are part of the Association.
